ASC TRAINING CENTER

Trail Lights Project

About

Trail lighting systems significantly extend the number of hours in a day that skiers can safely use the trails in a ski area. Commute times from nearby cities and limitations on school and work schedules prohibit scheduling ski training during daylight hours midweek. During December and January, there is little daylight before 8:00 am and after 4:00 pm. The installation of trail lighting will allow the ASC Training Center to extend the availability of adequately lit trails from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm during the winter months, providing up to 4 additional hours of access to lit trails on targeted days (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays). Ski organizations in most surrounding communities including Reno, Truckee, Tahoe City, Colfax, Grass Valley, Auburn, and as far away as the Bay Area will benefit from lighted trails.

Pilot Program: (2021) 1km of lighted trails under construction lights mid-December to early-January (Wednesday and Friday evenings until 7:30 pm).

NYE Race: Come join a freestyle night sprint under the pilot program lights on December 31st, and then stick around and enjoy a beverage under the lights.

Phase 1 (Completed Fall 23) 800m of trail permanent lights
Phase 2 (Fall 24): 2.1km of night skiing trails. light sponsorships ongoing

Sponsorship Opportunites

Give the gift of skiing by contributing to lighted trails. The ASC Training Center is committed to matching half of the capital campaign funds raised toward this project. Our fundraising goal is $80,000.

We offer the following non-specific, broad-based financial partnership opportunities and associated benefits that will allow you to support this project. By becoming a financial partner with the event, you will demonstrate a clear commitment to the athletes and the community. It is an inspiring and rewarding endeavor! Commit early so we can get your logos on the website, press releases, and in front of as many people as possible. Sponsorship funds must be received by September 15, 2024, to ensure the placement of logos on merchandise, banners, and signage for the upcoming season.
