Biathlon Participation Requirements & Registration

All participants in ASC Training Center biathlon races must hold a USBA Basic Rifle Safety Certification to compete in rifle events.

A laser biathlon race will be held following the completion of the main race. During registration, you may choose to register for rifle, laser, or both events.

All participants must have a Nordic Trail pass and sign a ASC Training Center waiver.

Races

MLK Biathlon Race

January 19th, 2026

Individual race, no penalty laps, 1 minute time penalty for each miss.

2.5km lap

Prone, Standing, Prone, Standing (5 laps of the course)

Rifle Check 7:30am

Zero 8:00-8:45am

First racer off at 9:00am; 15 sec intervals.

Entry fee $50 for non-members and $30 for ASC program members.

All race entry fees go to the capital campaign for biathlon range improvements.

Chuck Lyda Biathlon Race

February 16th, 2026

Pursuit format with 150 meter penalty loop for each missed shot.

2.5 km lap

Prone, Prone, Standing, Standing

Rifle check 7:30am

Zero 8:00-8:45am

Race starts at 9:00am; 15 sec intervals.

Entry fee $50 for non-members and $30 for ASC program members.

All race entry fees go to the capital campaign for biathlon range improvements.

BBQ will be included but we must know by April 7th if you want to race or volunteer. Day-of registration will be accepted but there is a $15 charge for the BBQ.
