WOMEN’S WINTER PROGRAM 

Join our training group to improve your fitness, strength, and confidence on skate and classic skis! Interval sessions, speed work, and technique training will comprise the bulk of our time together. We welcome everyone who identifies as a woman.

Come ski after work (until 7:30pm) Tuesday-Thursday!

 

 

NAME OF TEAM NORDIC WOMEN’S PROGRAM – Winter Only
DAY OF WEEK Thursdays 8:30-10am
SCHEDULE December 4-18 + January 1-15 + Feb 5-March 5 + March 19-April 2
COST $495, trail pass included *Price increases by $100 on October 10th
TECHNIQUE Classic and skate race technique
AGE 30+
AGE CATEGORIES Masters
SKILL LEVEL Intermediate-Advanced experience or fitness
SKILLS Interval sessions, speed/agility work, and technique training
EQUIPMENT
  • Skate skis, boots, poles
  • Classic skis, boots, poles: waxable classic skis or those with mohair skins are best. Fish scales work, but wider, metal-edged backcountry classic skis will be frustrating in this context
  • Wristwatch
  • Water bottle (carried in a waist pack or small backpack). Running shoes for just-in-case scenarios!
EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Must have own equipment

Season pass IS included! You get access to the earliest and latest skiing in the region AND night skiing!

 

WOMEN’S OFF-SEASON PROGRAM

Join a welcoming community of women who share a love for the outdoors. This group is for anyone who identifies as a woman and places herself in at least an intermediate level of ski experience or fitness. 

Grab some friends and join ASC Masters Head Coach, Charlotte Gross for on-foot summer evening sessions June-October. Example sessions include 4×4-minute hill bounding intervals, core stations adaptable to varying fitness levels, and on-foot agility exercises to train ski-specific movements and keep you quick on your feet.

TECHNIQUE On-foot dryland training (ski walking, bounding, specific strength, circuit strength, etc)
AGE 30+
AGE CATEGORIES Masters
SKILL LEVEL Intermediate-Advanced experience or fitness
SKILLS Ski-specific fitness, strength, balance, and coordination
EQUIPMENT
  • Running shoes
  • Wristwatch
  • Water bottle (carried in a waist pack or small backpack)
  • Bounding poles that reach the bottom of your sternum (old Nordic poles are great)
EQUIPMENT RENTAL Must have own equipment
NOTES Smoke levels and AQI may lead to us adjusting our training sessions and locations.
LOCATION: At specified locations throughout the Tahoe Region including ASC Training Center, Alder Creek Adventure Center, Meadow Park, Castle Peak Trailhead, Truckee River View Sports Park, and Olympic Valley Park.
